About Seaspray Australian Labradoodles
Hello! Thanks for stopping in to visit! My introduction to Australian Labradoodles was through my son and his wife. They were on a ski trip to Vail, CO. with some of their friends. One day, Dr. Rob Black came back to the house they had rented and told my son he had met “the most amazing dog” in the village. My son, who had the flu and was unable to go skiing the next day, called me in Florida and told me about this dog called a “Labradoodle” that came from Australia. He asked me to look into it for him. When I started looking into finding a Labradoodle from Australia, I discovered there was a year’s wait for a puppy! This was discouraging, but I continued my research into this new dog that I had never heard about. The more I read ~ the more fascinated and interested I became. And – I just cannot resist a challenge! So, when my son, Chris, returned from his ski trip and heard about all the research I had done, he and his wife Kathy decided they wanted to adopt one of these amazing dogs! Well – I couldn’t have them waiting a year! So I went to work! Within a week, I had a gorgeous white standard Australian Labradoodle for them. It was to arrive in 3 weeks. They named her Sydney, in honor of the country of her birth. Well, it didn’t take long after Sydney arrived for everyone to fall in love with her. The very weekend after she arrived on a plane all the way from Australia, we took her to my mother’s 90th surprise birthday party out of town. Sydney had only been with Chris and Kathy a few days at that point. But, she was well behaved, crate trained, and pretty much potty trained. They took her to the party and she was so well behaved! It wasn’t a month later that I decided I had to have one of these dogs. AND I had decided that I wanted to breed them. Did I say one? I meant two! Two months later, while I was visiting my vacation home in Highlands, NC, I drove to the Atlanta airport and picked up Erin and Riley! They were just adorable. Well, after 6 months, I added Kerri and 6 months after that, Chocolate E’Clair arrived! My daughter, Trish and her husband Bill are the only ones who don’t have an Australian Labradoodle YET. But ~ I have a feeling as soon as their new home is finished ~ I may have a new Grand Doggie! There is just no way to describe an Australian Labradoodle with words ~ they are truly amazing dogs! Please browse through the following pages to meet our wonderful Furry Family members. But, BEWARE! They are addictive!
